Presbyterian Mission Project in Congo
A few years ago, Presbyterian Women were involved in the Palm Project for the Democratic Republic of Congo, providing palm tree for villagers to grow for cooking oil,for home use and for sale. The project was very successful,with donations far exceeding the goal of $60,000, and many plantations are now in full operation. Souper Bowl of Caring
The Souper Bowl of Caring is the result of thousands of young people joining together to fight hunger and poverty in their local communities. This unique, youth-led movement of caring is transforming the nation's biggest weekend of football into its biggest weekend of giving. Community fellowship is an exciting opportunity to prepare and serve meals for the less-fortunate living in our neighborhood. Meals are served by volunteers every Sunday at 4 pm in the shelter located beside the church. Volunteers from DHPC are needed for the 2nd Sunday of every odd month. Additionally, volunteers are needed on occasion when regularly-scheduled groups are unable to attend. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Scott Hulsey. Thank you.
