G. Phillip Shoultz, III, an accomplished conductor, educator, vocalist, and speaker, is widely known for his creative rehearsal methodology and ability to inspire singers of all ages and abilities. Phillip is the Director of Music Ministries at the Druid Hills Presbyterian Church in Atlanta where he collaborates in worship planning and directs children, youth and adults in singing, ringing and instrumental choirs. He is the Founder and Artistic Director of the Sono Laus! Choral Festival and is also developing the Druid Hills Project, a unique outreach program that works for social justice and builds community through music.

Phillip is actively involved in the community choir scene of Georgia. Since 2000, he has served as the Artistic Director and Conductor of the Gwinnett Choral Guild. Under his leadership, the Guild has performed at Spivey Hall, in the Piccolo Spoleto Festival, the Vermont International Choral Festival, the Southern New England Choral Festival and in mass choirs at Carnegie Hall. In the fall of 2007, he spearheaded the merger between the Atlanta Youth Choir and the Gwinnett Young Singers where he now serves as Director of Voice Education. In addition, he established the Georgia Young Men's Ensemble, an ensemble dedicated to the development of singing in adolescent and teenage males. Phillip is a three-time public school Teacher of the Year, two-time ACDA National Student Conducting Competition Semi-Finalist, and has studied music at the University of Georgia and Georgia State University, receiving degrees Magna Cum Laude with High Honors. Additionally, he has pursued post-graduate studies through the Choral Music Experience Institute and the Voice Care Network, where he now serves as a Mentoring Program Associate. Phillip frequently appears as an adjudicator for many festivals and as a guest clinician for a variety of all-state and honor choirs, summer camps, and conferences throughout the country. Upcoming engagements include workshops in Georgia, Pennsylvania for the Westminster Music and Worship Conference (Summer 2010), and North Carolina for Lutheridge (Summer 2011) and for the Monteat Music and Worship Conference (Summer 2011 and 2012). Phillip believes every person can experience great joy through singing and he passionately enables people to explore their body, mind, and voice through corporate singing experiences. He lives in Snellville with his lovely wife, Michelle and their cat, Rusty.
