Joint service with Mercy Community Church and Journey (formerly Druid Hills Night Shelter)
The Unknown Nicodemus Story is a dramatic reading adapted from a story told by Pastor André Trocmé to children gathered by the huge lighted tree on Christmas day in the French Reformed Church he served in the village of Le Chambon sur-Lignon during World War II while France was under siege and occupied by Hitler’s troops. Pastor Trocmé inspired the village to shelter and save thousands of Jewish refugees during the war. This story, told during the poverty and anxiety of wartime, addresses themes that sustained the courageous spirit of the villagers.
