Earth Care
The Presbytery of Greater Atlanta has been blessed to have a local Creation Care organization develop from within, the Earth Covenant Ministry (ECM). Druid Hills Presbyterian Church has supported ECM from the start.
In the fall of 2011, ECM announced a merger with Georgia Interfaith Power & Light (GIPL).
One of the twenty-three statewide InterfaithPower & Light chapters nationwide, GIPL shall receive a boost from ECM's internal presence while acting as ECM's fiscal sponsor and also covering key organizational/bureaucratic elements. Those matters overlap between the two and absorbed a disproportionately high number of ECM's hours.
The Reverend Kate McGregor Mosley, ECM's Executive Director, shall serve as the Director of Congregational Support at GIPL, effective January 2012. ECM's innovative River of Life Project, creating a water efficiency program, shall find expansion to equip people of faith to dive more deeply into water efficiency and also advocate for responsible water policy throughout Georgia.
Sundays: Spiritual Formation @9:30am, and Worship @11am
(no 9:30 classes on Palm Sunday or Easter)
Druid Hills Presbyterian Church calls everyone into Christian community, to explore God’s purpose for our lives, to celebrate God’s work in the world, and to serve the needs of our neighbors.
